Cell Biotech, the company behind the strong probiotics brand DUOLAC, continued its growth momentum last year, achieving simultaneous increases in revenue and operating profit driven by expanding global demand for K-probiotics.
The company announced its preliminary results for 2025, reporting revenue of KRW 53.3 billion and operating profit of KRW 7.9 billion. This represents a 6.8% increase in revenue and a 16.4% rise in operating profit compared to 2024. Net profit for the same period was recorded at KRW 9.6 billion.
The improved performance is largely attributed to solid overseas export growth. As global interest in K-probiotics continued to expand, exports showed steady growth, particularly across Europe and Asia, providing strong support for the company’s annual performance. Notably, exports to Denmark, led by the DUOLAC brand, performed strongly and played a key role in driving overall revenue growth.
Leveraging its proprietary CBT probiotic development capabilities and global-standard manufacturing technologies, Cell Biotech exports its products to 55 countries worldwide, including Denmark, widely recognized as the birthplace of probiotics. The company has also maintained its position as Korea’s No.1 probiotic exporter for 12 consecutive years, further strengthening its status as a leading global K-probiotics brand. In Denmark, Cell Biotech established the first overseas subsidiary among Korean companies and has achieved remarkable results, ranking second in market share.
Domestic performance was also supported by marketing initiatives. The advertising campaign “221 Times Stronger Probiotics, DUOLAC,” featuring actor Son Suk-ku, drew attention by emphasizing intestinal survival rate as a new selection criterion beyond simply guaranteed probiotic counts. Highlighting DUOLAC’s core Dual Coating technology, which delivers up to 221 times higher survival rates, effectively communicated the brand’s technological competitiveness. As a result, the company achieved increases in both new customer acquisition and repurchase rates through its official online store.
A Cell Biotech official said, “As trust in and demand for K-probiotics continue to grow in global markets, we were able to maintain stable growth across both exports and domestic sales. Moving forward, we will further strengthen product competitiveness based on DUOLAC’s differentiated technology and global network, while accelerating overseas market expansion alongside brand marketing initiatives.”
